Lubricants
Do to many requests
We are proud to offer Three
lubrication products
that we use and can proudly
recommend.
Formulated to meet the challenges of wind-up Phonographs.
Most of us are not very good
about regular oiling and checking of our machines,
So these long lasting products
will last until we do.
1) Spring -N- Gear grease:
This
grease is a light, - non sticky -, transparent, high pressure grease
base.
To this dry resistant base graphite
is added, Just as all manufacturers
recommend for packing main springs.
This grease is ideal for high pressure
gear dressing, as it won't wipe
off by normal gear meshing, or become sticky
and load up the gear chain.
Providing excellent Lube qualities. A light
application with a flux brush is
all it requires. Don't glob it on.
Container holds more than enough
to do 2 double spring motors and gears.
2) Light Bearing Oil:.......................
A
combination of three Lubricants to provide long lasting, non sticky,
reliable lube to governor bearings,
etc., spindles and shafts.
Outlasts sewing machine oils 3-1.
3) Special Hi -Viscosity Oil:........
This
is a product that has the viscosity to stay put and will help quiet those
noisy Edison governor shafts. It
cannot make up for a badly worn gear, but
it can stop the slap of a moderately
worn gear, and stay put. It can quiet a
good many noisy gears, if not too
badly worn. ( Lead screw gears, idlers,
Mandrel gears, 2/4 gearing).
Don't
use as a bearing oil. Good for other uses,
Where
a slight stickiness will not hinder operation. Do not use with other
oils, as they will dilute the viscosity,
and defeat its purpose.
A good protection against wear
on fine brass gears. A little goes a long way.
4)Newly
added! Vaseline and Graphite Mix:
