VICTOR II
Circa 1908-1915
Original base cost $40.00 - $45.00

The Victor Two is one of the number series machines, having
earlier inherited the
case and Style of the Victor "E",
front mount "letter" machine.
Later the
case was changed to
this plain, no columns, larger case.
The
Victor II was issued with an updated spring Motor
and larger spring size.
The machine was offered with several
horns in its
lifetime, Large Brass bell horn, a flower horn and the
2 Oak horn versions.

The
Case was decorative, Quartered oak, trimmed out at
the top and bottom.
There
were no Pilasters on the corners,
backmount black
with filigree pattern gilded trim.
A
Dealer tag was sometimes installed by the dealer as an
advertisement.

-A
WORD ABOUT REPRODUCED HORNS -
We
all would like to find that proverbial mint machine in
Aunt Tilly's closet.
Early
collectors found these machines
and were able to buy
them
cheaply. We are now finding the
machines that need
substantial
work. The horns usually are
rusty (often through the
metal), they are dented, from
small dings to large
folds.
and where used as funnels for fuel
and other things.
To
restore an original takes a lot of skill and work, and when
you get
through
you have a dimpled, wavy, repainted less than
correct original that
I prefer not to put on my machines as
representing what the
makers and skilled workers made.
The
Reproduced horns we sell and use are made exactly like
the originals, less all
the rust, dents and high prices.

This
machine is in excellent condition, sound, Original case,
tigered oak, original
nickel plate and reproduced horn, the
backmount is original,
and in great shape.
It
has been serviced and the reproducer rebuilt. This machine
looks great and sounds
great, A real winner.
