thinner and will flex and absorb some of the vibrations before reaching the Diaphragm and generating the sound waves. This makes the Volume something less than the "Loud" needles, and less need to close doors or louvres that muffle the sound quality.
Your Needles should be replaced after each play to protect your records.
An abrasive in the record material will sharpen the needle tip and it will erode
the record groove.
